Crowned ‘Best British Salon’ at the Professional Beauty Awards 2012 within nine months of opening, The Potting Shed Spa is the sister spa to multi-award winning day spa Eastthorpe Hall, also located in Yorkshire. The boutique style spa, which is decked out like a potting shed with plant pots and watering cans on the shelves, has added Pinks Boutique’s manicures and pedicures to its offering of essential maintenance and signature treatments. Clients can enjoy, for example, a Pinks Boutique Signature Organic Pedicure where feet relax in a foot bowl filled with water poured from a watering can to which is added a scoop of Pinks Himalayan Foot Soak crystals infused with uplifting organic essential oils and just-cut mint leaves from plants grown in the spa, before being exfoliated, massaged, filed, buffed and polished.
Commenting on the partnership, Pinks founder Kirstie Allen said, “The Potting Shed Spa is the epitome of a spa doing things differently to great effect. Their philosophy of homegrown goodness fits perfectly with our own and we are delighted to be chosen as their key product house.”
Owner Sam Pearce who opened The Potting Shed Spa in June last year said: “The Potting Shed has been designed to recreate everything you’d expect to find in a gardening environment but in a really clean and fresh way. We have two treatment rooms, four manicure/pedicure stations with extra large and luxurious chairs furnished with individual televisions and headphones so you can “plug in and zone out”, a large waiting area with flat screen TV’s and a retail area where clients can purchase anything from a Pinks Boutique Hand Balm to a watering can, gnome or plant!”
